s2k love

I still can't believe Honda cut the S2000. It had everything over a Miata and even the BMW Zs. It continuously beat the 350z in road tests and was neck and neck with the Boxster, sometimes coming out on top. It was classy, yet had tons of mod potential. Big mistake Honda, because you just quit a race you were winning.

New GLI

For 2012, VW is bringing out a GLI mk7 jetta. It will have a 2.0 turbo inline 4 putting out around 200hp and 207ft-lbs of torque. Slight upgrades such as a honeycomb grill set and the 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels are visible on the exterior. The base price is set at around 23,500 and it will be available with a 6-speed manual or VW's DSG transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.

Nice E92

Found this sick looking e92. I don't even mind the huge wing that much. The red Volk t37 wheels are fit perfectly and the lowering is just right.

Julien Dupont Trials

Some great moto trials in France. Dupont has some major finesse on a bike

Sorry about the less than stellar quality video, but it's too good not to share.

Just when I thought the Si was at a high point...

This happened. The 2012 civic si.

Things were looking so nice with the 8th gen civic (pictured in blue), especially coming out of the god awful 7th gen. Now I look at the thing and instead of thinking "Wow those things look hot", I think "Ew is that a hyundai?"

Make A Bike Movie

I saw this while browsing http://prollyisnotprobably.com/
Pretty neat video, a compilation of submissions for the 2011 Bicycle Film Festival. It's especially good this year, I think.

Touge Ukraine

Some great cinematography and camera work here, especially for a car video. Georgiy Stepanyan drifts a a candy blue s15 through the Ukrainian mountains.

A quick software tip that's easy on the eyes

Straying away from wheels, here's a quick software tip - try using flux( http://stereopsis.com/flux/ ), it is much easier on your eyes than the bright white of a computer screen. If you are watching a movie or looking at pictures and want it back to normal, you can always switch it off quickly. On my mac, I use this and have it set to open at login, so come evening it is already open and begins to transition to a dimmer, yellow-lit screen. Also, if you use a mac, try this - hold down apple, option, and control, then press 8. It inverts the colors which is nice when typing a long document or reading text. Plus it saves energy, unless a lot of your screen is already black.

The often overlooked Chris Akrigg

Danny Macaskill was practically a youtube hit. I got emails from people who don't even know how to ride a bike showing me his videos. Another British rider, Chris Akrigg, is also out there, pushing the limits of many areas of riding, often in slightly off-beat ways. Here's two of his videos for you to check out. Yes, he is riding trials brakeless.

Covering my bases

Well, I said this would be blog of wheeled machines, so for the first few posts I want to get a little of everything out there. Many people have seen Danny Macaskill doing trials on youtube. Macaskill is a phenomenal rider with outstanding skill and creativity.

On a side note...

http://www.blackle.com/
I thought this was pretty cool. Still powered by google and all, but because the background is black, your computer uses less energy to light it up.

Longboard HD

A great longboard video I came across awhile back. Beautiful HD footage from all over, races to freeriding. This is the video I send people if they ever ask, "So, what exactly do you do with a longboard?"

WATCH IN 1080p IF YOU CAN

Clean Subie

I found this on the Work Wheels blog http://www.iputinwork.com/ A nicely done subaru wrx (not likely an sti, unless it was debaged) with some tasteful exterior mods. I have no idea what's been done otherwise, but it's one well done car. Props to whoever the owner is.

Welcome to my blog

It's been along time coming, but I never really got around to starting a blog. I could never pick one of my interests. But then I said, hey, I love wheels. Cars, skateboards, skates, bikes whatever. So this blog will mainly be about things that have caught my interest and that I want to share. Maybe I'll even throw some personal stories in too. Anything, from 2 wheels to 4 wheels. You might even see a unicycle now and then

Thanks for checking out my blog
